Fashion District Live/Work

A feat of custom creativity served as the pièce de résistance at this spacious loft in Manhattan’s Fashion District, which was renovated to maximize functionality for a high-profile hair stylist and his husband. An unnecessary bedroom was swiftly removed to provide additional storage and amplified bathrooms. This included unique facilities allowing the client to hold exclusive hair consultations and private cuts in the comfort of his own home.

In the living space, a show-stopping sliding door serves as a multi-purpose piece of art, with a monochrome zoning map that displays the apartment's precise location. Tracking back to cleverly conceal a wall-mounted TV, the principal suite is elegantly exposed. Meanwhile, a corresponding door to the spare bedroom displays the location of the couple’s second residence in Seattle, fostering a stylish sense of belonging.
